New Delhi, : PANKH NGO (Regd.) organised its first-ever special picnic for more than 40 underprivileged children and 15 mothers, bringing moments of joy, recreation and togetherness into their lives.
The initiative was aimed at promoting the holistic development, confidence and social participation of children from economically weaker sections, while strengthening the organisation’s mission to protect childhood from crime and criminals.
The children and their mothers visited two of Delhi’s iconic landmarks — Qutub Minar and India Gate. The day was filled with enthusiasm, recreation and interaction, giving the children an opportunity to enjoy a memorable outing away from their routine environment.
The programme was planned and successfully executed by the dedicated team of PANKH NGO, including the Honorary Vice President, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Advisor, interns and volunteers.
The picnic was supported and sponsored by Smt. Shilpa Jain, Dr. Ritu Arora and Shri Umesh Mathur. PANKH NGO expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors and supporters for their valuable contribution towards making the initiative successful.
PANKH NGO President Smt. Neelam Manchanda said that children need more than education—they also need happiness, positive surroundings, confidence, values and opportunities to participate in society. She emphasised that PANKH NGO will continue organising meaningful initiatives for underprivileged children and their families.
The organisation also thanked all its interns, volunteers, supporters, well-wishers and sponsors whose collective efforts made the picnic a memorable experience for the children and their mothers.
